MSP Combi Training and Certification

MSP Combi Training and Certification

The MSP® Combi training includes BOTH the Foundation and the Practitioner certifications. Both the MSP Foundation exam and the MSP Practitioner exam are included. Candidates can benefit from a reduction of 15% on the total price by choosing the Combi training.

The MSP Combi course consists of two courses: the MSP Foundation and the MSP Practitioner course.

The MSP Foundation certification aims to ensure that a candidate has the theoretical knowledge of how to plan, manage and deliver programmes from start to finish.

The MSP Practitioner certification aims to ensure a candidate can apply and tailor the MSP programme management framework to a real programme.

Following the completion of the course participants should be able to:

  • Understand key concepts relating to programmes and MSP
  • Understand how the MSP principles underpin the MSP framework
  • Understand the MSP themes and how they are applied throughout the programme
  • Understand the MSP processes and how they are carried out throughout the programme
  • Pass the MSP Foundation exam
  • Understand how to apply the MSP principles in context
  • Understand how to apply and tailor relevant aspects of the MSP themes in context
  • Understand how to apply and tailor relevant aspects of the MSP processes in context
  • Pass the MSP Practitioner exam

  • Project managers/senior project managers
  • Business change managers
  • Other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of projects, including project board members (e.g. executive), project assurance, and project support
  • Operational line managers/staff (e.g. process owners) operating within a programme environment
  • Other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of programmes, including: programme board members (e.g. senior responsible owner), programme assurance, and programme management office personnel
  • Portfolio management staff
  • Specialist programme staff

MSP Foundation Exam:

  • 1 hour (75 minutes for non-native speakers)
  • 60 questions
  • Objective Test Questions
  • 54% pass mark
  • Closed book

MSP Practitioner Exam:

  • 2,5 hours (188 minutes for non-native speakers)
  • 70 questions
  • Objective Test Questions
  • 55% pass mark
  • Open book (MSP manual only)

Upon successful completion of each exam and following confirmation of the results, the participants will receive a unique, secure and auditable electronic certificate from PeopleCert.

It is desirable but not essential that participants have some work-experience on programmes. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the training and is expected to be fully read and studied before attending the course.

This material contains the official MSP digital manual, case study, exercises and solutions, the MSP Glossary, test-exams and hints & tips for both the Foundation & Practitioner Examinations.
